Company Promises

We’ve got your back

And your front too, big fella.

Fatherhood is a lot to get your head around, and it’s 1000% worth it. We’re on your side! Here are some answers to commonly asked questions:

Is the carrier suitable for newborns?

Nope. Your little nugget needs to be at least 3.6kg and their chin must be high enough to clear the adjacent fabric (removable liner), approximately 5 months old, unless you have a fast growing healthy bruiser.

Here’s what we recommend:

  • Your baby needs to be able to hold their own head up unassisted.
  • Your baby must be between 3.6 kg and 16 kg.
  • Your baby must be able to clear carrier liner fabric with their chin when positioned either direction in the carrier - this is for proper breathing, so it’s very important.

This carrier cannot be used with a newborn and is not recommended for infants under 5 months of age.

Which way does my baby face when s/he is in the carrier?

Good question! While they’re under 12 months, we recommend inward facing (or facing you). Once they’re a little bigger, flip ‘em round to see the world.

INWARD-FACING (parent-facing):

For the little ones.

Bub must be approximately 5 months old, and their chin must be high enough to clear the adjacent fabric (removable liner).

OUTWARD-FACING (world-facing):

For the bigger babies.

Bub must be approximately 12 months old, their chin must be high enough to clear the adjacent fabric (removable liner).

What if it doesn’t fit?

Oh, it’ll fit. But if it doesn’t, you can return it provided it’s still in new condition, and we’ll cover the postage.

The colour doesn’t look the same as it did on the screen.

We take high quality photographs of our products and do our best to show colours as they are in real life. However, sometimes colour saturation can differ on different devices.

If you’re not happy with the colour when you receive it, hit us up - we’d be happy to facilitate a swap. We’ll keep you looking snazzy and feeling good.

What’s it made from?

The carrier and backpack are made predominantly out of 1000D nylon making them soft yet very durable. The nappy change mat is also made out of 1000D nylon, but with a cotton liner and filling that makes it more comfy and soft for little bums.

1000D (heh) means 1000 denier, a thick weave that is often used for military bags and outdoor gear.

Will you make carriers for newborns one day?

We’d love to, and we’re working on it! We need to make sure it’s completely safe first. Because it needs to fit men and not compromise the health of your baby, there are a few hills we need to climb on that one yet.

What about Hip-health?

The Hip Dysplasia Institute recommends the "M" position for Infants in a carrier or sling under the age of 6 months old as “it is a natural clinging position for infants – also known as the Spread-Squat, or Jockey Position”. Article found here
